$105.74+ $132.17+
(1)
This Turkish kilim wall tapestry features a striking monochromatic blue interpretation of Istanbul, bringing together the historic skyline, mosques, domes, minarets, the Bosphorus, and the distinctive urban landscape of the city.
Designed in layered shades of cobalt blue, indigo, navy, silver-gray, and ivory, the composition creates a calm yet detailed visual impression. The dense architectural lines and flowing blue tones capture the character of Istanbul while giving the piece a sophisticated contemporary look.
ISTANBUL DESIGN & COLOR DETAILS
• Shades of Blue: Cobalt, indigo, and deep navy blue dominate the composition, creating a unified monochromatic palette inspired by Istanbul's sea, sky, and distinctive atmosphere.
• Ivory & Silver Highlights: Light areas throughout the Bosphorus, Golden Horn, and sky create contrast against the blue background, resembling reflections of light on the water and adding depth to the cityscape.
• Historic Istanbul Skyline: Domes and minarets form an important part of the composition, highlighting the architectural and cultural character of the historic city.
• Dense Urban Lines: Fine, closely arranged lines create the impression of Istanbul's layered neighborhoods, streets, and densely built city texture.
• Galata Bridge & Bosphorus: The horizontal bridge structure connects the historic peninsula with the opposite side of the city, while the Bosphorus and small boat silhouettes extend into the background.
• Rhythmic Sky Lines: Flowing horizontal lines across the sky add movement to the composition and create a sense of wind, clouds, and the lively atmosphere of Istanbul.
A CONTEMPORARY TURKISH KILIM
The design combines the visual language of traditional Turkish kilim art with a contemporary interpretation of Istanbul. Rather than using a conventional repeating geometric pattern, this piece transforms the city's architecture and landscape into a detailed linear composition.
The monochromatic blue palette makes it easy to combine with modern, minimalist, traditional, or Mediterranean-inspired interiors.
