PREMIUM & LUXURY OTTOMAN-PERSIAN-INSPIRED FOREST GREEN PEACOCK MIHRAB PRAYER MAT

This Turkish Muslim prayer mat features an elegant multi-lobed Mihrab arch, a richly decorated floral vase, two symmetrical peacock motifs and an ornate hanging lamp. Inspired by Ottoman and Persian court-style botanical art, the design combines a Deep Forest Green central prayer field with Cream and Dusty Beige panels, Muted Terracotta accents, Vibrant Fuchsia floral details and Soft Mustard architectural highlights.

The central niche is built around a large floral urn surrounded by two stylized peacocks, while a decorative hanging lamp descends from the apex of the Mihrab. A wide Shah Abbasi-inspired palmette border frames the entire composition with alternating floral sections and geometric details.

COLOR PALETTE

Deep Forest Green — Main background color of the central Mihrab field and wide outer decorative border, creating a rich foundation for the botanical composition.

Cream / Dusty Beige — Used in the upper spandrel panels and inner border stripes to provide contrast against the deep green background.

Muted Terracotta / Rust — Featured prominently in the central floral vase and selected background sections within the outer border.

Vibrant Fuchsia / Pink — Used for stylized palmettes, border blossoms, rose clusters and selected floral highlights.

Soft Mustard Yellow — Defines architectural outlines, peacock details and smaller decorative elements throughout the composition.

Medium Gray — Used for the woven end-borders and functional hanging tassels at the top and bottom edges.

MIHRAB ARCH PRAYER DESIGN

The central Mihrab features an intricate multi-lobed architectural arch with a distinctive onion-shaped upper point. It frames the main botanical composition and establishes the traditional architectural structure of the prayer mat.

The Mihrab is traditionally associated with the prayer niche and direction of prayer, making it one of the defining elements of traditional Muslim prayer rug designs.

PEACOCK MOTIFS

Two symmetrical stylized peacocks stand on either side of the central floral vase. Their long patterned tail feathers and detailed bodies create a balanced decorative composition within the Deep Forest Green prayer field.

In traditional Eastern and Islamic decorative art, the peacock is often associated with beauty, royalty, immortality and the imagery of paradise. Specific meanings can vary according to artistic and cultural context.

VASE OF FLOWERS

A large Muted Terracotta and Rust-colored footed vase occupies the lower center of the Mihrab. Its ornate scrollwork body forms the foundation for a climbing floral arrangement extending upward into the central field.

Floral vase compositions are traditionally associated with gardens of paradise, spiritual abundance, beauty and flourishing life.

HANGING LAMP MEDALLION

An elongated geometric hanging lamp descends from the apex of the Mihrab. Its decorative interior contains small light and Fuchsia floral elements, creating a distinctive focal point above the central floral arrangement.

Lamp imagery in Islamic decorative traditions is commonly associated with spiritual light, enlightenment and guidance during devotion.

SHAH ABBASI PALMETTE BORDER

The wide outer rectangular border features Shah Abbasi-inspired palmettes arranged in alternating sections with large open floral forms and dense botanical clusters.

The interconnected floral ornament creates a continuous decorative frame around the central prayer field. Shah Abbasi palmette decoration is traditionally associated with themes such as eternal life, nobility and harmony, although specific interpretations can vary across artistic traditions.

OTTOMAN AND PERSIAN-INSPIRED MUSLIM PRAYER RUG

The combination of the multi-lobed Mihrab, peacock motifs, floral urn, hanging lamp and Shah Abbasi-inspired palmette border gives this Turkish prayer mat a distinctive Ottoman and Persian court-inspired character.

The Deep Forest Green background creates a dramatic contrast with Cream, Dusty Beige, Muted Terracotta, Vibrant Fuchsia and Soft Mustard details. The symmetrical birds and botanical elements create a balanced composition with a richly ornamental traditional character.

SOFT PRAYER MAT CONSTRUCTION

The approximately 7 mm surface provides a soft, silky-feel finish while maintaining a smooth, flat and lint-free construction. The non-slip woven cotton backing helps keep the prayer rug stable during use.

High-resolution digital printing reproduces the detailed Mihrab architecture, peacock motifs, floral vase, hanging lamp and Shah Abbasi-inspired border with clear definition.
