Custom Prayer Mat, Muslim İslamic Prayer Rug

Turquoise Blue Turkish Islamic Prayer Rug – Architectural Mihrab Prayer Mat with Mukarnas and Geometric Border

This elegant Turkish Islamic prayer rug features a striking architectural composition inspired by traditional mosque interiors and decorative tilework. The design combines vibrant teal blue, deep cobalt blue, warm marigold gold, soft cream, and steel gray to create a refined and visually balanced prayer space.

ARCHITECTURAL MIHRAB DESIGN

The central focus is a beautifully structured three-layered mihrab arch. Its curved architectural lines create a clear focal point, while the layered construction gives the design a sense of depth and dimension.

Above the mihrab, a detailed muqarnas-inspired structure creates a distinctive three-dimensional effect. The geometric cells gradually narrow upward, adding architectural character and intricate detail to the upper part of the prayer niche.

GEOMETRIC MEANDER BORDER

The outer border features a continuous geometric meander pattern formed with angular, interlocking lines. The marigold gold detailing provides a strong contrast against the blue background and creates a sense of rhythm and continuity around the composition.

COLOR PALETTE

Teal blue forms the main visual foundation of the central architectural area, accompanied by cobalt blue in the surrounding borders and shaded transitions. Marigold gold highlights the architectural outlines and geometric details, while cream-colored bands add brightness between the layered arches. Steel gray appears along the outer edges and in the tassel details at both ends.

The combination of blue and gold gives this prayer rug a rich yet balanced appearance, making it suitable for both traditional and contemporary interiors.

TURKISH ISLAMIC ART INSPIRED

The overall composition reflects the visual language of traditional Anatolian and Ottoman-inspired decorative arts, particularly the use of architectural arches, geometric ornament, layered detailing, and rich blue-and-gold color combinations. The design is presented as an artistic textile interpretation rather than a reproduction of a specific historical artwork.
