Prayer Rug, Tree of Life Garden with Millefleurs Floral Design
Bring the beauty of a classical Persian garden into your prayer space with this richly detailed floral prayer rug. The design features a striking central oval landscape framed by an intricate Millefleurs field, ornate floral vines, and symmetrical corner spandrels.
At the heart of the design, a naturalistic Tree of Life spreads across a deep midnight charcoal background, surrounded by blooming flowers, olive green foliage, wild animals, birds, and a peaceful water stream. The cream and off-white outer field creates a refined contrast, while vibrant sky blue and coral red floral accents add depth and color throughout the composition.
COLOR PALETTE
• Midnight Charcoal Black – Central oval landscape background
• Cream / Off-White – Main outer floral field and border grounds
• Vibrant Sky Blue – Outer border frames, blossoms, and landscape accents
• Coral Red / Crimson – Corner spandrels, floral rosettes, and central flowers
• Olive Green / Sage – Tree foliage, grass, stems, and botanical details
• Medium Gray – Woven end borders and functional tassels
TRADITIONAL MOTIFS
• Central Oval Landscape – A vertically oriented garden scene inspired by classical Persian garden carpet compositions. The specific symbolic interpretation of this landscape format is not universally established.
• Tree of Life – A traditional decorative motif often associated with continuous growth, longevity, connection between earth and heaven, and the enduring beauty of nature.
• Quarter-Medallion Corners (Spandrels) – Ornate triangular corner panels frame the central landscape and provide symmetry to the overall composition. Their specific symbolic meaning is not universally established.
• Millefleurs Field – A densely arranged field of miniature flowers and leaves that creates the impression of an abundant flowering garden. In traditional decorative interpretations, floral abundance can evoke prosperity and the beauty of paradise gardens.
• Ornate Floral Vine Border – Continuous vines, rosettes, palmettes, and sky blue floral clusters form the outer frame, creating a sense of continuity and visual harmony.
