PREMIUM & LUXURY OTTOMAN-INSPIRED BLACK MIHRAB PRAYER MAT

This Turkish Muslim prayer mat features an elegant multi-lobed Mihrab arch, a prominent hanging lamp medallion and a richly detailed Ottoman palace-inspired floral composition. The design combines a Midnight Charcoal Black central prayer field with Cream and Off-White spandrels, Terracotta and Soft Coral borders, delicate Ice Blue floral details and Muted Gold accents.

The dark inner field is filled with a symmetrical Arabesque Floral Scroll composition inspired by traditional Hatayi floral ornament. A decorative Cartouche Border surrounds the central design, while a narrow Reciprocal Border adds a precise geometric frame. Medium Gray woven end-borders and functional hanging tassels complete the traditional textile-inspired appearance.

COLOR PALETTE

Midnight Charcoal Black — Main background of the central inner prayer field, creating a dramatic foundation for the detailed floral composition.

Cream / Off-White — Used in the upper spandrel areas surrounding the Mihrab arch and for selected accent outlines.

Terracotta / Soft Coral — Dominant color of the wide side borders and upper and lower corner sections, adding warmth to the composition.

Ice Blue — Used as a delicate highlight within the scrolling vines, floral details and selected border elements.

Muted Gold / Beige — Secondary detail color appearing in small internal panels, column bases and framing borders.

Medium Gray — Used for the woven end-borders and functional hanging tassels at the top and bottom edges.

MIHRAB ARCH PRAYER DESIGN

The central Mihrab features a highly ornamental multi-lobed pointed arch with a scalloped edge. It frames the dark inner prayer field and establishes the architectural structure of the composition.

The Mihrab is traditionally associated with the prayer niche and direction of prayer, making it one of the defining elements of traditional Muslim prayer rug designs.

HANGING LAMP MEDALLION

Suspended from the apex of the Mihrab is a large teardrop-shaped ornamental medallion connected by delicate chain-like details. Fine floral scrollwork fills the medallion, creating a distinctive focal point above the central field.

Hanging lamp imagery in Islamic decorative traditions is commonly associated with spiritual light, enlightenment and divine guidance during devotion.

ARABESQUE FLORAL SCROLL

The Midnight Charcoal Black inner field is filled with a dense and symmetrical network of winding vines, detailed leaves and stylized blossoms inspired by Hatayi floral ornament.

The interconnected floral composition creates a sense of continuous movement across the prayer field. Arabesque floral decoration is traditionally associated with the infinite nature of creation, divine order and the harmony of interconnected forms.

CARTOUCHE BORDER

The wide surrounding border contains evenly spaced oval and elongated cartouche-style frames. Each decorative panel encloses symmetrical botanical arrangements over alternating Terracotta and Cream backgrounds.

These framed elements provide visual rhythm and structure throughout the border. Their specific traditional symbolic interpretation can vary, while their primary role here is to anchor and highlight the surrounding floral ornament.

RECIPROCAL GEOMETRIC BORDER

A narrow Reciprocal Border frames the inner black field with a repeating pattern of small alternating light and dark stepped forms.

This geometric guard border creates a clear transition between the central floral field and the larger decorative border. Its specific traditional symbolic meaning is not certain and is presented primarily as a geometric ornamental element.

OTTOMAN PALACE-INSPIRED MUSLIM PRAYER RUG

The combination of the multi-lobed Mihrab, hanging lamp medallion, Hatayi-inspired arabesque floral field, cartouche panels and reciprocal geometric border creates a distinctive Ottoman palace-inspired character.

The contrast between the Midnight Charcoal Black central field, Cream spandrels and Terracotta borders gives the prayer mat a rich visual depth, while Ice Blue, Muted Gold and Beige details add delicate highlights throughout the design.

SOFT PRAYER MAT CONSTRUCTION

The approximately 7 mm surface provides a soft, silky-feel finish while maintaining a smooth, flat and lint-free construction. The non-slip woven cotton backing helps keep the prayer rug stable during use.

High-resolution digital printing reproduces the Mihrab architecture, floral scrollwork, hanging lamp medallion and detailed border elements with clear definition.
